I feel like since the 5 models came out, it’s much harder to steer Claude toward paring down verbose descriptions, eliminating code, eliminating spec and doc language, and other routine deletion and cleanup tasks I normally do in the production of just about anything. I’m sure there are ways around this, but I feel like I am fighting with the model in ways I didn’t have to before. It is very cautious and conservative. Sometimes I ask it to trim out unnecessary things, and it actually adds more. Most of the time its like “I didn’t touch that <90% of what you asked to cut> because <bullshit>”. So, “skill issue,” I’m sure. What’s the solution? How are you handling bloat reduction and cleanup with the new Claude models? submitted by /u/Time_Cat_5212
