I am female, I’m curious about something from a past friendship. I had a guy friend and we were fairly comfortable around each other. We talked, teased each other, hung out, etc. There were also moments where I wasn’t really sure whether he saw me as just a friend or something more, but nothing was ever explicitly said. At one point, I was sitting with a female friend and he came over, asked her to move, sat next to me, and put his head on my lap. I was completely caught off guard and immediately got up and told him to go sleep at home lol. Looking back, what I’m actually curious about is the general social norm here. Is that kind of physical affection something guys might consider completely normal with a female friend, or is it generally considered more intimate than normal friendship? I’m not asking what this particular person was thinking. I’m interested in how guys generally view that kind of interaction between friends. submitted by /u/Fun-Palpitation4006
