I have been dating my boyfriend for about 2ish months. We had been friends for a while before we started dating, so I feel pretty comfortable when I say that I love him. I really love when him. It feels so cliche, but I understand people now when they say that “they never felt this way before” or that they get butterflies in their stomach. He’s honestly so great and I feel like I can’t stop talking about him. He’s does alot of really wonderful things for me and often times I get comments like “you’re so lucky” or “you better treat him right” Which is really sweet but it kinda makes me insecure. I want to make sure that I can be as good for him as he is for me. I’ve been thinking about it and I want to be the kinda woman who he brags about too. Even before we started dating, I had been paying for some of our dates/hangouts and getting him small gifts once in a while but I feel like I should do more. He makes me feel so special and beautiful. I want to be able to do that for him as well. I’ve dated other people in the past and It was pretty different. Most of the time I felt like I was their hype girl or someone they could get attention from rather then someone who they really loved. So, when my boyfriend is really lovey with me or just genuinely sincere I don’t know how to react. We’ve talked before about how each of us show love and affection, so he knows that I don’t really know how respond to genuine affection. I definitely know he loves me and I know that he knows I love him but how can I be the type of girlfriend that he would brag about? What can I do to go above and beyond? I love him alot and I want him to feel as special as I do. submitted by /u/Sir-marestco
