TLDR; I’m uneducated in AI, but I’ve seen a lot of claims about it bringing upon the end of the world. At the same time I’m wondering if these companies are making bold claims to oversell their product to raise their stock price and exit à la spaceX? I’ll try and keep the post short. This whole thing has, in my personal news experience, been purported as an unsustainable energy source. Not just in actual energy or AI data centers sucking up water. I’ve seen that the product AI produces far outweighs the value that actual humans bring and is a pointless cost. At the same time we’ve all seen the recent posts that AI has become too powerful and all these execs are leaving because of it. SpaceX had a a great pump and dump experience, are all these AI companies trying to drive hype to leave us all holding the bag? None of this seems real submitted by /u/supergoodsexhaver69
