I’m a final-year Information Systems Engineering student with roughly 3 months to build my graduation project . I really want to make a good impression on my professor, so I’m looking for an AI project that’s ambitious enough to be interesting but realistic enough to actually finish. I’ve never done an AI project before . I’m not good at AI, and honestly, I’m not particularly strong at programming either. So I don’t want to spend the next 3 months learning AI from scratch. I want to build a project and learn only what I need along the way. My professor suggested a really interesting project: converting Kurdish written in Latin/English letters into proper Sorani Kurdish script. Kurdish has very limited AI resources compared to major languages, and I may be able to get some data for it. I think the idea is great, but I’m not sure how difficult it would be for a beginner to actually build. I’m also very open to completely different project ideas . I’d love to hear about AI projects you’ve built, seen at university, or think would make a great graduation project. It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking or completely original. I mainly want an idea that sounds impressive and is actually doable. And most importantly, how do I actually build something like this? Where do I start? Do I use an existing model/API, collect data, train or fine-tune something, use Python/PyTorch, etc.?
