They’ve been racing at full speed for years. Now, training new models, building massive data centers, and powering them has become incredibly expensive. For them all to say we need to slow down at this very moment doesn’t seem very innocent to me. He might be right about security, but what they want could also hinder smaller companies and protect themselves, the big AI companies. And even if they stop, China won’t. Dario is aware of this.
