While AI has been steadily evolving over the past few years, many of us haven’t put the same effort into developing our own thinking. We’ve become more comfortable outsourcing it. Getting an answer is easy. Understanding it, questioning it, and forming our own judgment still takes work. Now we’re surprised by what AI can do. Some of us feel threatened. Some even feel offended. But we also need to ask ourselves: Are we still making the effort to learn, or are we simply accepting whatever these systems give us? We need to engage more deeply with mathematics, physics, philosophy, psychology, and other fields. And we need to understand the connections between them. The problems we face rarely fit neatly into one discipline. With or without AI, that’s up to each individual. What matters is that we question assumptions, check important claims, and remain willing to correct ourselves. Critically and constructively, with the intention of understanding. Access to more powerful AI doesn’t automatically make us better thinkers. We still have to do our part. The ball is now in our court. Let’s make the best of it. submitted by /u/Philo167
