This is the third time in a year that I’ve received a fine for riding without a valid ticket (1x SBB, 2x VBZ). The bill now includes a 50 CHF surcharge for a “criminal complaint.” What are the additional costs or issues associated with this criminal complaint? Does anyone know anything about this? Based on your experience, is it worth calling to ask them not to file a criminal complaint? I usually by my tickets in the app or use EasyRide. There’s also plenty of bought tickets - i just happen to forget it irregularly. Unfortunately, I’ve only found somewhat vague information about this online.
