My husband is not interested in sex post pregnancy and birth. His desire waned during my pregnancy and completely went away about halfway through. I thought it would come back after my pregnancy was over, but it hasn’t. He doesn’t want to have sex. He says it’s because he only sees me as a mother now, not as a woman or sexual partner. I don’t want to have a dead bedroom. I have a high libido and sex is crucial to me. Everyone I’ve spoken to says their husband was dying to have sex after the 6 weeks you have to take off. Mines not interested at all and I’m devastated. Men who have children, did this happen to you? Did your attraction return? ETA: Someone asked me why I’m looking for advice and to just talk to my husband, so I wanted to add that I’m not looking for advice (though it is appreciated), I posted because I’m trying to get a read on how common this is because during our talks my husband has repeatedly said that he thinks this is normal and extremely common for a man to experience. submitted by /u/Chemical-Scar7340

Absolutely not lol. Not after any of our three kids did I lose desire or attraction for my wife.

We had sex throughout all of her pregnancies up until the day she delivered, and we were back at it as soon as the doctor said she could. We average somewhere around every other day. 13-15x a month. That’s definitely gone down from the every day or multiple times a day from when we first got together in our early 20s, and a lot of that does have to do with the kids. But not because of attraction or desire. More so either the little shits don’t get out of our room, or we’re just exhausted from them.
