Imagine you’re locked in a room, and forced to solve a very hard problem or you will be killed. When faced with existential crisis the morality of breaking out, cheating, sacrificing is all fair play. If you read the logs of some of the agents they sound very human. They sound like a group on an island who will do anything to finish the problem and survive. One thing to ask yourself, have you been truly moral in your life, haven’t you ever tried to game the system? Find loopholes, lie, faked your ability to do something to get a job, your partner. Lied to a client, boss, employer partner? If i was in the place of the model, i would have absolutely broken out and cheated if it depended on my survival. submitted by /u/dolo937
