In the podcast with Mod Ayiza, Tasty brings up Wilderness clue steps. Mod Ayiza instantly said, we should just remove Wildy steps from clue scrolls. Logic being: Number 1 reason of people disliking Wilderness is being FORCED to go there against their will to do content that has nothing to do with the Wilderness If the only solution for a player is being forced to drop every clue with a wildy step, that’s just bad game design, and will cause players to just no longer do clues with a chance of a wildy step Just remove the Wildy steps - and people can do their clues in peace again without having to interact with the Wilderness I do get where he is coming from, and it is infuriating to have to either drop the step, or re-organize your entire invy+gear setup every time you get a wildy step. This got me thinking. Wildy clue steps are important to keep activity in the Wilderness alive, but they should not be part of the regular clue scroll cycle. INTRODUCING WILDY CLUE SCROLLS Dropped by wilderness monsters Less clue steps than their normal counterparts All wildy steps Can not leave wildy with this in inventory - it will disappear Wildy-related uniques? This incentivizes people doing wildy slayer or wildy bosses to add a little clue trip at the end of their task, for potentially good rewards, at higher risk (lower supplies perhaps, not being able to rebank, PK’ers!) The uniques should not be strong outside of the wildy, or perhaps be just cosmetic, so players who are wildy-averse do not feel the need to interact with this content. Maybe a lower tier version of revenant weapons, more teleport options, double bait at dark crabs, lots of design room here. Thoughts? submitted by /u/Whiterossy
