I work a corporate job here in Switzerland, A respectable title, a comfortable pay, But somehow my whole life belongs to the day. No work from home, no laptop in bed, Just fluorescent lights and Excel instead. Five days in the office, dressed up on cue, Pretending this lifestyle is something I’d choose. Can’t leave before six, even when work is done, God forbid I see daylight or have any fun. I watch the city fade behind the glass, While counting the hours until I can pass. My salary is nice, my pension is growing, My soul? Somewhere missing, nobody’s knowing. Golden handcuffs polished, Swiss-quality too, They pay me enough to keep me doing what I do. So yes, I have money. Yes, Switzerland’s great. But Monday to Friday, my freedom can wait. I sold my soul for a comfortable life, A corporate badge and financial advice. And every morning, half-dead on the train, I wonder how many of you are feeling the same? submitted by /u/Infinite_Coyote_6991
