Based on what I see on social media, there seems to be a common complaint from women that even when both partners work full-time, the man doesn’t cook, clean, or contribute much around the house. How true is that in your experience? Is it actually common, or do they exaggerate it? Personally I do most of the cleaning, laundry, repairs, and general maintenance around the house. I usually cook my own meals, and my wife orders DoorDash most of the time. She doesn’t really like cooking and we have very different diets, so what I cook usually isn’t what she wants anyway. Most of the married men in my circle seem pretty involved too. Some of them are better cooks than their partners and do most of the cooking while also splitting or doing a lot of the other household chores. Only one friend has a more traditional setup where he works and his wife stays home and handles most of the household responsibilities. Obviously my social circle is a tiny sample size, so I’m curious what it looks like for everyone else. submitted by /u/Iampoorghini
