The 2024 and 2025 slayer overhauls have come and gone. There were some good changes like metal dragons getting grouped into one task. But some of the biggest changes snuck in unnoticed, changes that can really improve your experience rates. In 2024 Chaeldar had 15 tasks removed from her pool. Nobody gave it much attention because, at that time, there was only one shared block list. I recently started progressing a new account and made some interesting discoveries. It turns out that not only does Chaeldar have the best experience tasks in the game, she has really good weighting for those tasks as well! Nechryaels are weighted higher than all of Chaeldars other tasks, so you’ll get assigned this task more than any other. Her next highest weighting is for stalkers, possibly the best barrage+cannon tasks in the game (which Duradel can’t even assign). She also assigns jellies which are a pretty good barrage task which neither Nieve or Duradel assign. She assigns dust devils too for another good barrage task, just at a slightly lower weighting. She also assigns quite a few tasks that you can venator and cannon as well for decent XP rates, like bloodvelds. FAQ: As a lower level slayer master won’t she assign too small amounts of these tasks to matter? When you have a slayer task extended, all slayer masters assign the same amount. For the rest of her tasks, assigning so few is actually a benefit because you can get back to the good tasks faster. Won’t you run into a net-negative slayer point deficit because she only awards 10 points per task? I’ve used some tools and spreadsheets to calculate that you actually run net positive without having to kill any bad xp creatures, while only using konar every 50th task. Does Chaeldar assign boss tasks? Unfortunately not, but that does give her the niche of being an experience focused slayer master. There’s always time for bosses when you have a higher slayer level and stats. How about base creatures with bosses as an option? For all you pet hunters out there, you can get Sire, Kraken, Titans, Grotesque Guardians, Gryphons, Kalphite Queen, Kril, Cerberus or Calvarion, Vorkath, Kree, Jad or Zuk, and even Amoxliatl. Her lower task amounts make it so boss tasks don’t drag out too long. When does Chaeldar drop off? She doesn’t assign araxytes or smoke devils so the latest would be the level 92 mark. Abyssal demons have her highest weighting tied with nechs, so you can still utilize her for those, albeit not everyone would like to since they’re not a high tier barrage task. You might want to switch off earlier than 92, since she also has the highest weighting for cave krakens starting at 87 slayer. I’ve never seen some of these tasks before, should I skip them? Lesser naguas are creatures with extremely good negative flat armour. I recommend venatoring the earthen naguas in the multiway sun chamber for over 70k slayer xp an hour. Its only a few steps away with a mokhoitl waystone. Your other option is killing Amoxliatl, which is pretty cool because Chaeldar is the only slayer master to assign these creatures apart from Konar (who doesn’t let you kill the ones you want to most times). Don’t expect to get them too often as they are her rarest task at less than half the weighting of most others. Wyrms have become an acceptable task to do nowadays with the addition of Wyrmscraig. You can cannon the wyrmlings on the surface of the island in multicombat, and they respawn super quick. A dragon hunter weapon or just a venator bow makes this a very quick task while obtaining about 60k slayer xp an hour. They are also pretty rare at the next rarest weighting. When you get a crab task you might be tempted to try the gemstone crab. Sadly that one doesn’t count. You probably want to cannon rock crabs at Mt. Quidamortem, where they stack up in a narrow corridor perfect for a venator bow, the new hallowfell, or even shadow barrage. A goading potion increases their aggro range and makes this a very quick task with decent XP, similar to kalphite workers. Your other option is venator bowing the giant sand crabs in the catacombs, or cannoning the ones in crabclaw cave. The crabclaw cave ones respawn pretty slow so you’d have to alternate rooms with a venator bow to keep your multicombat going. Mutated zygomites, the most obvious skip ever right? Well she only assigns 8-15, and armed with a cannon and blowpipe to take out the crop of them on the way to the zanaris bank, its an easy net 40 slayer points. These are very rare. What blocklist would I recommend? The creatures I would definitely block are kurasks and spiritual creatures. Fire giants if you aren’t doing Royal Titans. And the rest is up to you depending on personal preference, I’d check her wiki page and go down the list by weighting. submitted by /u/WaveDashSpeedKick
