Im 32M and me and my wife are getting divorced after being together for 13 years. We have a baby and i’ve never felt so lost and low in my entire life. It was ultimately my decision to get the divorce, i unfortunately, for many reasons, fell out of love with the woman I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I fought for years to try and make it work. We are amicable and there is no bad blood. We are currently separated in the same house and im basically living in a tiny room and the house doesn’t feel like my house anymore. I have no friends i see irl anymore and pretty much isolated my self from everyone close to me over the past year. I feel so alone, so depressed, all i want to do is sleep and I can’t even sleep. I lost all interest in hobbies and literally don’t want to do anything. I’ve started therapy recently as I have a history of depression and self harm. It sucks because I love my wife as a person and a best friend but not as a wife anymore. I’m so paralysed by the now that i can’t even imagine starting my life at 32 again with no one around me. I feel like i’ve had enough and I don’t know how to deal with it or what to do. And of course feeling like a failed father to my baby as he grows up with separated parents. The divorce process feels overwhelming and isn’t something we have actually started yet but will be soon. For anyone who has been in a similar situation, does it get better? What advice do you have when it feels like all is lost. submitted by /u/delate199405
