I normally use Claude primarily for coding, but have used it recently to produce some comprehensive summaries for a major construction project. Claude reads documents (PDFs and Excel files) and systematizes the data according to my rules and logic and some handholding. I noticed Opus 4.8 did a few erroneous assumptions and blatant mistakes. Went back and saw which model I used on phase 1 for the same task and it was Opus 4.6 max. Decided to open a new session with Opus 4.6 max starting with an audit of the work done so far and he found plenty of mistakes. He built the workbook from scratch and was a breeze to work with. I’m one of the guys who stopped upgrading models after 4.6 since it’s always delivered very well for me. I only really upgraded after Fable came out which does seem superior for sure. submitted by /u/Tradovator
