In the Fallen From Grace quest, we are introduced to Sunstone. A special material that fell down as a meteor. It has regenerative properties and functions as a power source when it has absorbed solar energy. Hence why the sunstone cores can power the golems we craft. From the clay golems of Uzer, we learn that golems can talk and show personality. And from the Mad Angel we learn that golems can be trained, battle hardened. The farmable boss fight exists in dialogue as the player training the Angel golem to protect Wyrmscraig better. Now, looking at Sol Heredit. He shares the yellow color scheme of the Sunstone Golems, he is draped in furs like the golems and he is far too tall to be a regular human. The fact that Sunstone is regenerative would explain why he remains at the Colosseum even post-defeat, even if he explodes violently at the end of his fight (although perhaps colosseum modifiers should not be considered canon). Sunstone in meteors is clearly extremely rare, since we have found the singular case of it on Wyrmscraig. But if such a rock were to fall into a place such as Varlamore, a place that worships the sun, it would stand to reason why they would revere Sol Heredit, a construct powered and born from the power of the sun.
