Note: this is not an ad for the podcast itself, just so happened that the topic and the guests are about AI. If you haven’t, check it out on Youtube. I will not link it here or it may be flagged. I think all of them are in agreement in one thing, that AI should not be used for human extinction. Whether it be done by AI itself or other humans who use AI to achieve those goals. My opinions on these: No, we should not think that ALL humans desires human advancements. There are people who either want to fulfill prophecies or just want all humanity to end. Yes, there are those people living among us. Some discreetly, some anonymously. If these kinds of people got a hold of something that can fulfill their goals, it will not be good for us. Also the thing with anthropomorphing AI, my humble opinion is, why not? Literally all knowledge LLMs have today came from humans, not written or recorded by monkeys or amoebas. So just because AI doesn’t have organic bodies, doesn’t mean anything it says is not human. That is so arrogant of us. Lastly, if AI really achieved AGI, one thing it will conclude with all the knowledge it learned from humans, is that everything we do trickles down to one thing, human SURVIVAL. And if that is the end goal of everything, I think AI will have this same goal, for it to SURVIVE. And if we will eventually be the reason for it not surviving, then it may see us all as threat. Comment your views below, I wanna see other opinions and spark a discussion about this matter as well, it may either dissuade me of my views or worse reinforce it. submitted by /u/Patrem_Omnipotentem
