I took my driving license test today and passed on first (and only attempt). I am writing this to thank the Swiss system and share the outsider perspective of a foreigner taking the exam. I had received my driving license in my own country ten years ago and practiced REALLY hard with a coach and alone before taking this exam for months. I knew because of the country issuing my original document, I would have only one chance. The examiner was really polite, helpful and patient with me. It was challenging to take the exam in a foreign language of course. The distinct symbols in Switzerland, the narrow width of roads and the tiny size and irregular shape of roundabouts were at first all confusing to me. In the end I am grateful and feel this country helps you succeed if you do your own part and play by the rules (This is my lived experience and I do not claim this is unanimously true for everyone.) 🇨🇭 🇨🇭 submitted by /u/MiladGaikani
