This question was inspired by Finland’s ‘baby box’ which is a collection of roughly 38 items that the government gives to expectant mothers in order to prepare them to care for their child. It got me thinking about how many young men with absent role models in their lives could benefit from a collection of a few things given them to them as they strike out on their own. Let’s just assume that a Kindle is included with all the books and movies that they would need as guidance, and prophylactics would also be included. What physical objects do you think they should have in order to start out on the right foot as a Young Man?
