I’m not blaming the SBB whatsoever for this, I’m blaming our government. While the Zürich-Winterthur line is getting their 100th track, the Lausanne-Geneva axis has to content itself with a little tunnel between Morges and Perroy by « 2045 ». Funny part about this, is that this new tunnel (that will not change absolutely anything) was not considered a priority for our bundesrat, but the even less important Grimsel tunnel was considered a big priority (which will probably benefit 3 tourists a day). The 2045 deadline will probably become 2060 (for a 10km tunnel). A new rail track parallel to the highway is incredibly urgent. We can’t afford to have another 25 years of a blocked line every 4 days. I won’t even start my rant about Lausanne-Bern and Lausanne-Yverdon, even though those are also majorly ignored by our government. submitted by /u/Chemical-Rush-6433
