Like I’m asking to bring up some stuff I’ve long harboured about the demonization of AI users. First off people act like AI actively will want to take jobs or are taking jobs when this has never been the case corporations whether in ignorance and greed or just to save money replace people with AI whether it works or not is solely on the corporation not the AI itself. Secondly the whole AI steals stuff because it’s taking people’s work online is like saying tge act of taking any information found online and using it is stealing “just Google it” is a term we’ve adopted to refer to collecting information online for use and don’t even get me started on Wikipedia and other fan wik iand websites people would pull info from to use without referencing sometimes. I get where people are coming about Ai being used to train data that is copyrighted but that now falls into my third point. Thirdly The real cause of these copyright thefts, terrible implementations and use of AI are because of corporations and lack of laws we need stronger laws to regulate ai use and development. But instead of people talking about this they just rant about AI being soulless, a death of innovation and loss of what makes humans special which I don’t want to get into the many flaws of that logic. Point being they aren’t tackling the core issues we have had similar copyright theft, incompetent/nepotistic hiring and even creation of terrible art/animation that were all done by humans we solved them via Quality control so why aren’t we talking about doing the same with AI. submitted by /u/Cybermaster19
