AI is getting better and better than humans in some tasks (coding etc) and even in fields that an AI agent cannot really replace a human, using AI means one employee can be as productive as 10-100-1000 persons. So, what is the future going to be like? How will the job market absorb the millions of people whose jobs are going to be lost to AI or made redundant? That leads to the question how will people secure an income. So, does this rhetoric lately about stopping/controlling the progress of AI has to do with the realization that at the current rate the greatest socioeconomic disaster the world has ever seen is about to happen?
