Hi, i am a student currently living near zurich and getting my master degree in finance. I’ve met several people that are doing the same thing as me but they all sound devastated. Finding a job related to your field of study seems almost impossible, at least from their prospective. Ive heard of people with 5.1-5.3 GPAs struggling to even land an interview, and im not only talking about the ones that aim at jpmorgan goldman sachs or stull like that, even smaller companies… Zurich is not my only plan, since i know how to speak italian i can also try in ticino, and for what ive been told currently in Ticino its way easier than here in Zurich to find a job or an internship if you also speak english at least at a c1 level (at least for what concerns the wealth management or portfolio management areas of finance) Im not saying im getting scared…yet… but can you guys confirm this stuff or at least tell me your experience?
