I’ve experienced this both in job interviews and in my personal life. For example, when mentioning where I live, people sometimes react with surprise when I say that a potential workplace or activity is 30-45 minutes away, as if I’m living in Geneva and plan to commute to St. Margrethen every day…? Same when I told my friends (whose I anyway mostly meet in discord due to “over 30 and family”-duties, except the 2-3 times a year we meet for a Grillabend) I move to a canton like 20min away from here. submitted by /u/Electrical_Region741
