While I was scrolling IG just now I came across an IG influencer giving out ‘relationship advice’. on that reel; she shared that you must always lie to people to have a support system and not tell someone you are from a struggling background with no support. eg, friends, absent parents, struggling home she called human(men) as predators and stated that they would get cosy to harm you if they were to know you dont have a good support system. how true is this and not just in relationship but in all circumstances. say, corporate, college, or school, perhaps even in something minor as gatherings to major as weddings. are you likely to judge someone and maybe put them down and abuse your hierarchical power if you’re from a heavy support system background while they aren’t ?
