I’ve always been of the philosophy that you try everything to solve a problem, and divorce is something that should be avoided firmly, if possible. With my wife, after everything i’ve tried, i see nothing else. I’m tired of trying to maintain things peaceful; to adapt myself into doing things the way she wants it; into waking up every single morning and she bringing the mood down in less than five minutes. It’s incredibly exhausting. I’m ashamed of divorcing. I’m ashamed of telling my family, my friends, that it didn’t work out. Simply because it is a shame indeed, two adults who couldn’t deal with things. I understand that for women it’s different, in modern times they’re usually embraced by the close ones, while men are told, indirectly, that it was probably his fault, somehow. That is my experience at least. How are you supposed to deal with a situation like this? submitted by /u/TooMuchDread
