Using Claude for longer coding work. Fable 5.1 is stronger at planning but costs 2x Opus 5. Idea: Fable writes just the plan (architecture, files, edge cases). Opus implements it. Questions: • Is Fable’s plan good enough to justify the extra cost? • Does Opus actually follow the plan or start rewriting it? • Anyone measured tokens: planning vs implementation? • Detailed plan or high-level brief?
