So this guy (25M) asked me (24F) out. He’s a friend of my close friend, and that’s how I met him. When we met in real life, I remember he was friendly, open, funny, etc. I also saw him interacting with my close friend, and they were both super silly (in a good way). We never texted before, and I’ve only seen him a few times in real life. He asked me out through an online message, and then we started texting. I really like him, but he texts so formally! It feels like emails sometimes. I have such cognitive dissonance because in real life he wasn’t like that at all. I’m very easygoing and chill, and I like when people around me are like that too. So now I’m wondering if he’s actually that serious/formal, or if it’s because he’s interested in me and trying to make a good impression (I kind of wish he wouldn’t tbh). So, how much do you change your communication style during the talking stage? submitted by /u/Evening_City_1270
