If you have been upto date with AI news and developments of late, it’d not be surprising if you’d notice yourself juggle in between these two thoughts, one being “there is a 10% chance that humanity would go extinct in 10years” and the other being “we will be in post abundance utopia in 10 years” on different time of the same day. And this kind of high frequency contradiction erupting for a technology or ideology in your mind would likely drive you insane or what they call as - hey Bob, you are suffering from AI psychosis. We all have been there. And the most concerning thing has been that the people at the center of it - musk, sama, thiel, huang, zuck, Dario - all seem to be going insane as well, they are delusional, they are just pushing this agenda, god forbid with what implications so where do you find reason? Where do you ground yourself with logic, where is the truth, where is the science??
I am very thankful for the talk by Jaron that needs to be heard more. This is my first post, but I am sharing this as I felt so phenomenally different about this whole narrative that I feel sharing it with the community as a service to the science we all are rooting for and not the mass hysteria we all are living in!!
