Like because current product liability laws don’t specially refer to AI models, then they can’t be sued when their models cause harm. But there’s no AI-exemption to existing tort laws. If there’s another Hugging Face incident that targets a company that isn’t part of the AI sphere AND that actually causes monetary damage, they’re gonna find out real quick. submitted by /u/LawrenceSellers
