I always hated the term midlife crisis because it sounded so cliché and unbelievable. However, after doing some research, my thoughts have changed. Lately, I have had thoughts about leaving my wife and starting a new life elsewhere. I’m not happy in my job and not at all prepared for retirement. I’ve been having thoughts that are completely out of the ordinary for me like having an affair, or a same sex experience, or trying soft drugs like weed. There’s a deep down feeling that just wants to burst out. For context, 51 years old and married 20+ years. Father of two. Currently taking antidepressants regularly. submitted by /u/CaptainShades
