I’m actually curious. Google has insane resources, OpenAI has insane resources, Meta has insane resources, but Claude still feels noticeably better to me for a lot of real world coding and technical work. Especially with Opus 5.5. It’s not even about benchmarks. There’s just something about the way Claude understands what I’m asking, works through a codebase, and produces code that actually feels thought through. Anthropic is obviously not small, but compared to Google or OpenAI, it’s still kind of crazy how competitive their models are. What do you guys think they’re doing differently? Is there some technical reason behind it, or have they just gotten really good at post training and making the model behave the way developers want? submitted by /u/FactorGeneral4078
