The way the progress is going is rediculous… Its hard to keepup for engineers like me who are in the industry… So for the common man, this is way out of scope. Funny oart is that just 4-5 years ago all of US were like “AI can never take creative jobs”… And ofcourse they are the first ones hetting axed. Now the next model in training at OpenAi is said to have solved 100+ long standing math problems… Meaning we will have insane progress in all STEM fields as a trickle effect. But with huge corporations controlling AI, and US gov involed there is no telling what or how the world os gonna look like… Are we gonna be uniformly prosperous (highly unlikely)? Progress automatically doesnt mean prosperity… What are we supposed to do… Arewe just waiting for things to somehow work out own it own? submitted by /u/CarzyForTech
