I’ve been hating on Claude ever since they dropped pi / third-party harness support, and around the same time their 100 and 200 plans was just absolute dogshit in terms of usage. I then switched to codex, and they were killing it at the same price. I happen to retry claude’s 100 plan again last week before the update (when OpenAI resets didn’t come). Though I first had to find a way to use my sub on pi, after that the usage wasn’t great - but it was ok to tie me over until Codex reset. Now, that Opus 5.5 is out I’m genuinely content again with the bang for my buck. Its like a 4x improvement. Let me be frank, everybody who stuck with anthropic over the past few months was wasting money, and I’m still not happy they actively block other harnesses. But with 5.5 i can finally stop telling people they need to switch. submitted by /u/throwaway490215
