Is playing ~2 hours a day worth it? (Questions from a Tibia player) Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting into Old School RuneScape a bit more seriously, but before diving headfirst, I wanted to open up a discussion here to get a sense of how casual-friendly the game actually is nowadays. I always see people posting insane stats and sinking thousands of hours into the game, so I’m wondering if OSRS requires you to “sell your soul” just to enjoy the coolest content. I’d love to get your thoughts on a few specific questions: Combat Stats & Content Gates: Do I need maxed combat stats to access the newest, most interesting, and challenging content? Or are stats in the 80–90 range enough for everything, with level 99 being mostly for flexing and time efficiency? And what about the others skills, do I actually need to sink hours into them too? Playing ~2 hours a day: Can you make satisfying progress and reach late-game content at this pace? Or does it feel like you’re getting nowhere unless you play like crazy? Reliance on Best-in-Slot (BiS) Gear: I come from Tibia, where it’s totally normal for the absolute best gear to be out of reach for most players, but you can still do cool, challenging group content using mid-tier gear. Is OSRS similar? Can you tackle raids and newer bosses on budget gear? Basically, I want to know if OSRS respects a limited schedule or if the game only becomes truly fun if you live for the grind. What’s your take on this? submitted by /u/cofcofcoffee
