I’m a newly single mum, born & living in Geneva. I have two kids and I need a car with enough space, also in the back, like a monospace (in french). I have never bought a car and know nobody who can help me. So if anyone would care to comment what brands and models you like for a family, please help. My budget is 20’000 CHF max, I plan to buy second hand Im terrified of buying wrong because I don’t make that much money and wouldn’t be able to afford costly repairs or buying again for a couple years is VW caddy a good one ? (Read: Are you comfortable with big cars) -> I’m quite confortable with a big car, I learn how to drive with a Toyota Previa How much per year can you spend on keeping the car running? -> great question, not have a fixed budget How many seats (5vs7)? -> 5 or 7 if the 2 back one fold for more storage space, which is a priority Does it matter how the car looks (not damages but really how it looks)? -> no How luxurious does the interior need to be? -> i don’t care Can you charge an electric/hybried at home/work? -> no :( My “dream” car is a VW california beach… one day I hope to be able to afford it and to have great camping adventures with my kids :) submitted by /u/bois_santal
