Recently I’ve been noticing a lot of BYDs and other Chinese brands on the streets of Switzerland. Seems like there is a boom in Chinese equivalents of European brands. 3 months ago I could notice 1-2 BYDs in a week but now they’re just everywhere, and not only this Chinese brand. I’ve seen a couple of 1 year old posts in this sub discussing Chinese cars, and opinion was generally skeptical. Do you think something changed since, or it’s a simple question of affordability? Will we see premium German BMWs being replaced by cheap Chinese equivalents? submitted by /u/StewieSWS
