Question to guys, I’m looking for real-life experiences from people who have actually gone through difficult breakups and come out the other side. It’s been around 4 months for me. Things have definitely gotten better, but thoughts of her still randomly come back now and then. Sometimes I replay our old conversations in my head, and sometimes I end up imagining her doing the same things with some other guy. I genuinely loved her, but we kept fighting over silly things and eventually she walked away. I tried every trick in the playbook for her to stay but she didn’t. For those who have genuinely moved on from someone they loved, what actually helped you get there? How long did it take, what did you do differently, and most importantly, what does it actually feel like once you are over someone? Do you stop thinking about them completely, or do the memories still come but just stop affecting you? Please share actual experiences if possible rather than just “time heals everything.” And preferably something other than “get a new girlfriend” 😅 submitted by /u/dexterfire11
