While Anthropic focuses heavily on winning the frontier AI race and positioning itself for an eventual IPO, the daily operational stability of its platform and overall user trust are taking a serious hit. Although the company reported banning over 1.4 million accounts to crack down on bots and fraud, its aggressive automated detection systems are causing severe collateral damage: thousands of legitimate developers, researchers, and paying Pro or Team subscribers are getting their accounts nuked overnight with zero transparency. The triggers for these false positives are surprisingly routine. Logging in through a corporate VPN, experiencing IP mismatches while traveling, or simply asking Claude to analyze technical code that triggers an overzealous safety filter is often enough to land a user in account suspension. The real core of the problem isn’t just that automated systems make mistakes—it’s the near-total absence of human support afterward. Suspension notices rely on vague boilerplate language, and the vast majority of ban appeals disappear into an automated black hole, leaving professionals locked out of ongoing work, saved context, and paid subscriptions. Does it make sense for top AI companies to keep pushing for next-gen models when fundamental service reliability and customer support infrastructure are this broken? Have any of you dealt with false bans on Claude recently? submitted by /u/Admirable_Wasabi_732
