Honestly, I don’t think we need parallel tasks anymore with Opus 5.5 Am I the only one who noticed how much faster Opus 5.5 feels now? I used to split tasks into parallel/sub-agents mostly because waiting for one task to finish was annoying. But lately Opus is getting through things so quickly that the overhead of setting up parallel tasks sometimes feels pointless. For smaller coding tasks especially, I’d rather just give Opus the whole thing and let it work through it sequentially. Less orchestration, less context juggling, and honestly it just feels smoother. Parallel tasks still make sense for genuinely independent, heavy tasks, but for normal day-to-day coding I’m finding myself using them way less. submitted by /u/MrMenuk
