I’m unable to understand what type of person I really am. I’m a little possessive, and maybe I’m the type of guy who would die for his woman. But I also know that I’m not ready for a relationship right now. I’ve been thinking about entering a casual relationship just to figure out my likes and dislikes when it comes to sex and explore all my fantasies (no judgment — threesomes and all) that I might not feel comfortable exploring with the person I truly love. I’ve also always been super insecure about my body and quite an anxious person. But I feel like if I do that, it might make it difficult for me to find the type of woman I want in the future, because she might think I’m a bad person or a fuckboy because of my past. The alternative would be getting into a relationship with someone who has a similar sexual past. But then I feel like I would become deeply insecure. It’s not about having a higher body count than me or anything like that. It’s more like: What if she’s missing the casual-sex phase? What if she would still be doing casual sex if she had never met me? What if she’s only settling for me because I’m the “good guy”? And then I start thinking: What if she’s imagining her past threesomes, sexual partners, or experiences while she’s with me? I feel like that would eat me up. But at the same time, if I don’t act on my fantasies, I feel like that would eat me up too. I’d keep thinking, “What if I had done it?” I’m so confused that sometimes, even when I want to masturbate, all these thoughts start flooding my head and I lose my erection. I genuinely don’t know what I should do. submitted by /u/Next_Slide251
