We broke up twice. The first time was because we didn’t really understand each other. After a year, we got back together, but it only lasted three months. We broke up again because he wanted to focus on work. Whenever he had problems, he wouldn’t share them with me, and I felt like there was no future with him. The breakup was peaceful. After he left my country, he sent me some money. I tried to pay him back many times, but he kept sending it. It felt like he wanted me to use that money to travel, because when we were together, I really wanted us to travel before he left, but he refused. He said he was afraid of getting too emotionally attached and not being able to return home for his studies. He’d rather give me money to travel alone. Honestly, it was ridiculous. Now it’s been almost 1.5 years, and it’s been really hard for me to move on because I loved him a lot. Every 3–4 months, he would text to check in, but nothing more since we live in different countries. I also checked in and wished him happy birthday. Around Christmas, he texted me more and told me his schedule because he had a business trip to my country. I asked why he was telling me, and he said he just wanted to know how I was doing. I asked to meet him, but he refused because he already had a girlfriend. Seriously, then why contact me at all? He even sent me money again. I’m not poor or desperate enough to take money from an ex who already has a new girlfriend. I was so angry that I blocked him and just wanted him out of my life. But he found other social platforms to contact me, saying I had changed him a lot and helped him during his hardest time. Can you believe that? I didn’t return the money — I donated it to charity, hoping to cut him off completely. During Lunar New Year, he still sent me money as a New Year greeting and posted a story indirectly wishing me well. I stayed silent. So what is going on with him? He already has a girlfriend. submitted by /u/No-Repair1879

Because the court requires it and I’ll be arrested if I don’t.
