At the current point, do really believe we offer something? Can a company be reduced down to some product engineers having access to frontier intelligence and asking it directly to build/test/ship features to end users? What doesn’t AI do if it is offered access to the tools that makes it see as bigger picture as needed? Idk fr and it is making me so hopeless because I feel like no more problems to be solved while anyone can be in my place and hand off issues to AI I mean I still do review stuff that AI built and I even find myself debugging and doing manual testing, I still find some better solutions (sometimes) but I just feel like my contribution is not that much because AI will just keep improving no matter what it takes. Issue is that I’m not in this field only because I love it, It literally is my only source of income and being good at the thing im doing is what makes me a bit secure about my future. Idea that our job has turned out to lose meaning (and imo ANY job that is built over human interaction with a machine) is very hard and mentally exhausting.
