People often talk about how realistic AI video has become, how much more natural the character movements are, or how complex the camera motion can get. But for me, the thing that has actually changed the way I use AI video isn’t really how impressive the results are. It’s that I can finally experiment more freely with ideas I probably wouldn’t have tried before. In the past, whenever I had an idea for a visual effect, I had to think about a lot of things first. Do I need to find the right footage? Do I need to create the animation from scratch? Do I need to learn new software? How many hours is this going to take? A lot of the time, I just give up because it’s hard to convince myself to spend several hours trying to make it happen. Now it’s completely different. I might suddenly have a weird idea in the middle of the night, write it down, and throw it into PixVerse to generate a few versions. The first one is weird, the second one doesn’t really work either, and the third one is honestly kind of ridiculous. But then I might notice that one two-second clip is actually pretty interesting, so I’ll cut it together with a few other clips and post it on social media. The whole process feels almost effortless. What I find even more interesting is that sometimes I start out just trying to test a simple shot, and then the AI does something I wasn’t expecting that gives me a completely different idea. So I start experimenting around that result, and little by little, a test that was originally only supposed to last a few seconds can turn into an actual video concept. Of course, that doesn’t mean having AI automatically makes it easier to create something good.Quite the opposite, actually. I think the difficult parts are still there. AI can lower the barrier to experimentation, but figuring out what is worth keeping, what should be removed, when to keep going, and when to stop doesn’t seem to have gotten any easier. In fact, because generating things is so much cheaper and faster now, you can end up with even more options to choose from. At this point, my biggest takeaway from AI video isn’t that it’s turned me into a better video creator. It’s that it’s made me much more willing to experiment and fail.
