So I’m 27. Single dad with primary custody. My son is 6 and he is literally my best friend. Aside from him, I have my parents. That’s about it. 90% of the time- I’m very satisfied with my life. I enjoy my job. I love coming home and hanging out with my son. We do household chores together. We go outside and hang out. We play games. My dad? We go to races together, we sit and watch TV together. We go fishing. I go on vacations with my son. My mom even tags along sometimes and will end up pitching in on majority of the cost of stuff just being thankful I let her come. But that other 10% of the time… When that 10% crawls out of the hole- it crawls out and attacks with a vengeance. I feel weak. Lost. So f**king alone. My confidence suddenly gets drug through the mud. I see people online happy together and I’m reminded at how many failures I’ve had. At how much I feel I’ve done right, and it’s just been disaster after disaster. That I’ve stepped outside my comfort zone. Tried tackling things from completely different angles with all the same outcome. How the HALE… Do I shove this last 10% off a cliff?.. submitted by /u/poke_dan34
