TL;DR - how did you guys move on from potential hookup opportunities and is it something that still kinda haunts you or irks you quite a bit from time to time? Is it normal I feel this or was I an idiot for this? Struggling to move past a potential opportunity I had with a girl on a dating app being quite forward about a random topic that became flirtatious. When it happened, I was in bed thinking maybe I’ll just send this tomorrow as I need to sleep but idk why but I just decided to send the message not expecting a quick reply. She then became quite forward saying she’d come over but I live too far. We’re about 30-35 mins apart but at the time I had been up from 4am that day till midnight (when the messaging occurred) on 5 hours sleep for each of the 2/3 nights before and I felt that “I overstayed my tiredness” feeling where I probably had the energy to ignore my sleep requirements and could’ve gotten up and offered to pick her up but chose to stay in bed and offered to organise another night that suits us. Not sure if I’ll get this opportunity with her again and my mind is looping out of limerence about her and the regret kicking in heavily. Just kicking myself about it and even losing sleep for some reason on it although I’m chatting to a few other girls but I think I just got so infatuated by this specific girl thinking I had the opportunity right at my fingertips to convert a layup but decided to do the opposite… meh. She still gave me her Instagram but not sure how or if any possibility to work the momentum back with her. submitted by /u/TrickleYield
