Hello, I’m a 29 year old woman. I’ve used tinder on and off over my 20s and I never really took it too seriously. I will say though, I’ve had convos with my guy friends, guy co workers and what not about our online dating experiences over the years. One thing I hear a lot is that girls often look really different in real life than their pictures. Whether their photos look really edited or use pics from when they were skinnier. Is this a common thing that happens to you guys? I remember one time with an old girl co worker I had, she was showing me a convo she had with a guy on tinder and he asked “do you look like your pics in real life?” And she was really offended by the question. Then she showed me the photos on her profile, and she definitely looked better in her pictures. I didn’t have the heart to tell her. Another time, a guy I was speaking with told me a girl was probably 100+ pounds heavier in real life than her pic, he told me he was on his way to pick her up, and when he saw her and realized it was her, he sped off. lol. I feel like I use pictures where I look like myself. I’m kindof chubby also but I don’t hide it at all. Idk. I want to hear what you guys have to say about this. submitted by /u/camcangirl
