my 75yo mom keeps telling me about youtube videos that she gets information from, and I immediately detect the shit is AI generated and not trustworthy. for example, there’s a new channel on youtube that steals warren buffett’s likeness and voice, and my mom was talking about it as if she believes it’s actually buffett. i tell her if it’s too smooth, it’s AI. don’t trust it. can’t imagine how many more billions of people are fooled by this shit. submitted by /u/pman6
