Here’s a hardware use case for Claude Code: writing firmware, flashing a real board and checking its serial output in the same session. The demo in Agentic HIL’s README shows exactly that. Claude writes a small program, flashes it and reads “Hello World” back over UART. It also runs a deliberately wrong expectation, so you can see the failed check and its report. Agentic HIL provides the hardware tools through MCP. The test sequence can be saved as a YAML plan and run again later. There’s also a separate Nucleo-F446RE starter with three tests and a planted firmware bug. That gives you a small project to try: investigate the failure, change the firmware and rerun the tests on the board. It’s free, Apache-2.0 licensed and maintained by u/ResearchFit28 . Repository and demo · Starter If you use Claude Code for firmware, what do you still have to check by hand on the board? submitted by /u/wyced21
